After you have controlled what you eat and the amount of your intake, you should be ready to go to the next step. This will entail you to have to undergo different exercise routine. There are four famous exercises that you can use as abdominal workout.

The first and most famous one is the crunches. This can be the most effective workout for your abs if done correctly. To do this, you should lie on your back. The mat that you are lying on should be comfortable and be able to support your back from movements when you are already starting to exercise.

Your hands can be placed in front of your chest or it may be placed at the back of your head, supporting it. You can choose the position depending on how comfortable you are with it. Your knees are kept in a bent position.

Then, you are to raise your shoulders and try to reach your knees. This action is accomplished by using only your abdominal muscles. Also, the use of muscles in your neck should be avoided as you can strain those muscles very easily. Remember not to lift your entire back as it can strain your back as well.

You can also do sit ups. This is done almost the same way as in doing crunches. But, your feet may be supported by someone else. You are to do this exercise by reaching and sitting up. Your back should be straight.

Another way on how to get six pack abs is through a leg lift. This is done by starting with your back flat on the floor. You should maintain a straight body line. Your hands should be placed at your sides. They may be used for additional support.

The next step is that you are to lift your legs until they are at 900 with your upper body. You then lower your legs, only until they are almost straight. You should stop before your legs touch the ground. You then repeat by lifting you legs back at the angle.

The last exercise is a modification of a sit up, this is the jackknife sit up. This is done by starting with a prone position on a flat surface. You then lift your knees and back until they both meet at the middle.

These ways on how to get six pack abs are very effective for most that have tried them and did the exercise regularly and correctly.
